💻 Catalog Set-Up: A Failed Attempt... But Not a Failure
Today, I tried to do something new — set up a product catalog on Facebook and link it to my Instagram shop. I had it all planned out: add five of my favorite products, connect the dots, and bring the Rameshwaram Marble collection one step closer to my audience.
But... nothing went as expected.
I followed the links, watched tutorials, and opened one tab after another inside Meta’s Business Suite, Commerce Manager, Event Manager — you name it. Every step I took felt like it was leading somewhere… until it hit a wall.
Access denied. Feature not available. Catalog inactive.
Those were just a few of the pop-ups I encountered.
Honestly, it was frustrating. I’ve handled online platforms for years, built listings, run ads, and shipped marble pieces across the country — but this process reminded me how tech can humble you in seconds.
Still, here’s what I learned:
-
Not everything has to work the first time.
-
It’s okay to feel lost — especially when platforms change faster than you can learn.
-
You don’t fail until you stop trying.
So yes, today wasn’t “successful” in the practical sense, but it was a reminder to stay patient and curious.
Tomorrow, I’ll try again.
Maybe with a fresh catalog.
Maybe with better steps.
Definitely with a clearer mind.
And when it works — I’ll write that blog too. The “Catalog Success Story” one. 🌿
Until then, this space will always hold space for small struggles, slow progress, and honest stories from behind the scenes.
With heart,
Pvaishnavi
