Brand vs. Business

Did you know that there's a HUGE difference between being the founder of a BRAND vs. a business?

The truth is that literally anyone can start a business. You can sell products and services in exchange for money...sure! BUT to build a "brand" you have to be willing to create an image.

This means that you need to let your personality shine through, have a voice, position yourself, and give more than just what you're selling to connect people to.

It also means being bold enough to be HEARD, SEEN & FELT! AND...the even bigger truth bomb: A business can only get so big before a "brands" beat them out.

What we mean is, you don't see local Jose's Pizza competing with Domino's? It's just not possible!

Here are 4 Ways to Start Building Your Brand Today:

1. Be Authentic - This gets overlooked more often than not. Being authentic truly puts your brand in its own category because no business is going to be like yours. By allowing the brand to be itself, you're actually becoming your own niche.

2. Let Your Brand Personality Shine Through - We, as humans, work with people we like and buy from products that fit into who we are as a person. By giving the brand a personality (kindness, sassiness, boldness, etc) you're actually targeting your customer in the most direct way.

3. Position Your Brand Clearly - Brand positioning is done well by understanding and stating who your brand is for, what it does, how it in fact does it, and the results. By clearly articulating this, you allow your customers to comprehend where your brand lives in the marketplace and how it differentiates from its competitors.

4. Put All Three Into your Messaging - Brand messaging is defined as "all touch points to your customer." This means marketing, print collateral, social media, aesthetics, fonts, colors, speaking and more. Make sure that all of the above points (authenticity, brand personality and positioning) are being translated into your messaging.
