Social sharing tips and best practices
While it’s not required, we recommend keeping your Instagram public so people on Pinterest who engage with your content can view the original post.
When an Instagram post has multiple images and videos, only the first image or video will be uploaded to Pinterest as a new Pin.
You can import up to 150 Instagram posts per day to Pinterest. This is limited to posts that are less than 90 days old. To create a Pin from an older post, upload the image or video directly to Pinterest instead.
Business accounts on Instagram can only be linked by the primary account holder. If there are multiple accounts associated with your Instagram login, only the primary account will be synced to Pinterest.
Your Instagram posts will always auto-publish to the same Pinterest board. You can find the option to change the board by going to your Settings, then selecting Claimed accounts.
If your Instagram posts feature music you don't have permission to use on Pinterest, it will be muted.
If your original post includes links to products you linked on Instagram, learn how to tag products on Pinterest to make your Pins shoppable.
