Top 5 Reasons Why You’re Not Ranking High On Pinterest
You may be wondering why your Pinterest business account is not performing as well. If you are new to Pinterest and pinning correctly, you have nothing to worry about. Your Pinterest account is not pulling in a lot of traffic because it takes time to get established. It takes roughly six months to a year before you start showing large numbers. Even though it takes time to rank higher, Pinterest is still one of the best long-term marketing plans for businesses. Continue to read to learn how to rank higher on Pinterest with these five easy steps.
As the owner of small businesses I'm putting efforts to learn how to create top-ranked Pinterest business accounts and so me & my other friends can focus on running successful businesses. Pinterest marketing is one of the best ways to drive traffic to business websites and blogs. This is why it’s important to know how to utilize Pinterest to its full potential.
Scheduling Pins
Scheduling pins on Pinterest regularly is one of the top ways to get your pins noticed on Pinterest. Pinterest encourages business accounts to post new content at least three times a week but it’s better to aim for one pin a day.
The great thing about Pinterest is you can schedule pins for the entire week in just one day using the Pinterest scheduler. You may have heard about other scheduling tools but Pinterest recommends that you use their scheduling system to decrease the chances of getting your account flagged for spam.
Take a couple of hours a week to batch-create content your viewers will love. You can use Pinterest to highlight your blogs, get your website noticed, showcase your services, answer questions, and be an educator. There are so many options when it comes to creating new content and choosing the right time to schedule pins to get the best results. Try between 5 pm to 10 pm to post your pins to see what time works best for your specific niche.
2. SEO Keywords
This is one of the most important steps to getting your Pinterest pins noticed. SEO is the top trending keyword or phrase that needs to be included in your Pinterest profile, boards, and pin descriptions. If your account does not include SEO keywords Pinterest will not pull your content to show up on users' news feeds. Making sure your entire account is SEO-optimized will greatly increase your reach. This in return will help to increase business traffic to your website. Finding the top SEO keywords will take some time but will be worth it in the long run. When setting up a Pinterest profile, boards, and pins use the Pinterest trends tool and search engine to determine the top SEO keywords.
3. Repining Content
Repining content may seem like a good idea to get your older pins noticed but you may want to think twice before doing this. Be very careful you do not end up on the Pinterest spam list repining the same content. It is acceptable to use the same link from your website or blog on multiple pins but the pin itself has to be different each time. If you’re repining the same pin over and over your account will get flagged and if this happens more times than not you will have to create an entirely new Pinterest business account from scratch.
4. Fresh New Pins
Pinterest loves when you post fresh new content regularly. When creating pins you want to use new pictures, colors, and wording on each pin. This is where you get to showcase your creative side. The easiest way to create new pins is with Canva. Even if you do not have the premium version of Canva you still have so many free options for pictures, fonts, and colors to choose from. Creating new fresh content will help you increase your Pinterest engagement.
5. Pinterest Boards
You may find this surprising but Pinterest boards are just as important as your pins to get you a higher reach. When setting up the names of your boards they need to be concise and professional. Choosing fun adorable names for your boards is not going to help you get noticed. When naming your boards you want to pick the top words that describe your business or blog. Each Pinterest board has a description section to describe what the board is about. In this section, you don’t want to forget to include the top SEO trending keywords.
When you pin content you want to make sure you are pinning to the most relevant boards. Only showcase boards that pertain to your business or blog. You can have personal boards but your engaged audience does not want to see breakfast food ideas when your business blog is about financing. Don’t worry you can keep your personal boards and your pins but keep them hidden so your business account looks professional.
